Carlie is one of many fine cellists who has been playing her instrument since 2010. She has been recognized by her peers and instructors as being highly motivated and has shown great improvement throughout her four years at Utah Valley University. As a cellist Carlie has performed countless pieces of music in orchestra, small group, and even solo settings.

Carlie was a participant in the grand opening of The Noorda Center for the Performing Arts in the year 2020 at Utah Valley University performing with Jason Alexander and has continued with many more performances.

Carlie enjoys performing/arranging music with her sister, Shaylee. They perform in The Messiah with the Payson Civic Chorale and Orchestra annually in Payson, Utah since 2017. They have also performed cello/violin and cello/piano duets together, sharing instrumental music with the elderly and a variety of other age groups.

Some highlights Carlie has participated in Utah are a small orchestra accompaniment in a combined Christmas devotional at a Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints chapel in West Valley, a string trio at the Old Pinery in Nephi, a string quartet along a river bed at the Mormon Trek in Mosida, and a string quartet for the Regency Ball at Wadley Farms in Lindon and again at Little America Hotel in Salt Lake City.

Most recently Carlie has completed her senior recital performance and is looking forward to making more memories.
